A blog post entitled “Office for Mac Drinking Cocoa at WWDC” reveals that Microsoft’s MacBU is looking at “ways to work with Apple to meet the needs of our mutual customers.” The team adds, “That’s why we are here at WWDC this week participating in the developer sessions.” For starters, the Microsoft MacBU has confirmed its presence at WWDC10. Luckily, we have more interesting details to fill our time with on Microsoft news concerning the Apple fanbase. “It includes fixes for vulnerabilities that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer's memory with malicious code,” it adds, these being the only details the company’s Mac Business Unit was willing to provide. “This update improves security,” Microsoft bluntly states.
